Baby Back Bacon Ribs

BABY BACK BACON RIBS

Try these easy to smoke on a grill BBQ Pit Boys Pork Ribs wrapped in a web of thick cut Bacon for that perfect moist and tender rib every time.

THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:

  • Loin Back Ribs (Baby Backs) – 2 racks
  • Pork Rub – your favorite or one of ours found here
  • Pork Belly (American Style) Bacon – Thick cut
  • Soaked hard wood chunks
  • Water pan for grill – disposable tin pan

DIRECTIONS GETTING READY

1. Set up your grill for indirect heat (hot coals on one side of the grill and no coals on the other side of the grill) – You’re looking for a grill temperature between 250 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the water pan on the coal grate on the open side with no coals 2. Trim your ribs of any excess fat 3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. We show you how to do it here 4. Shake rub onto both sides of the ribs 5. With the bone side down do a loose weave of the bacon onto the racks of ribs. The video shows how simple it is and is easier to understand than trying to write detailed instructions 6. Put water into the water pan in the grill. This helps keep the ribs moist and tender

MAKING

1. Place the ribs on the side of the grill over the water pan 2. Cover the grill with the lid with the top vent directly over the ribs 3. Cook time will be 2 ½ to 3 hours 4. After 1 hour – Add a soaked piece of hard wood (cherry, hickory, etc.) on top of the coals this will add a light smoke flavor to the ribs 5. After 1 and ½ hours rotate your ribs on the grill the front rack to the back and visa-versa to promote even cooking Start basting the ribs with a light layer of your favorite BBQ sauce or one of ours found here. Baste about every ½ hour til done

FINALIZING

6. Depending on your grill temp ribs will be done in 2 and ½ to 3 hours 7. The meat will pull back from the ends of the bones ¼ to ½ inch when done 8. Remove the ribs from the grill and slice into individual bones SERVING 9. Serve and Enjoy!
