Try something new, just the way she likes it. The classic Bacon Cheeseburger gets served up Doggy Style by the BBQ Pit Boys, and she is real easy to do.
THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:
Ground Chuck 80/20 – 5 lbs.
Bacon – 1-2 lbs. regular sliced pork belly style
Cheese – Cheddar thin sliced
SPG – to taste
FOR SERVING
Hot Dog Buns – 10-12
Onions – ½ cup diced
Pickles
Jalapenos
Favorite Condiments
DIRECTIONS:
GETTING READY
1. Bring grill temperature up to 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit, with coals offset for indirect cooking.
2. Take 1/3 lbs. of ground chuck and roll into a hot dog shape using your hands.
3. Season with SPG.
4. Wrap with 1-2 pieces of regular sliced bacon. Form tightly.
5. Continue until you have made several bacon cheese burgers doggy style.
MAKING
6. Place burgers opposite coals for indirect cooking.
7. Cover grill and cook for 15 minutes.
8. Remove cover and flip burgers for even cooking. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
9. Remove cover and place a thin slice of cheddar cheese on each burger.
10. Cover and let cheese melt. Approximately 3-5 minutes.
FINALIZING
11. Remove burgers from grill and place in a hot dog bun.
12. Top with onions, pickles, jalapenos, or any of your favorite toppings and condiments.
SERVING
13. Serve with macaroni salad, pasta salad, or beans.
14. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!!
