Baconized Pasta Meatballs

Sit back and enjoy as the BBQ Pit Boys put together this Tortellinis stuffed adaptation of regular old meat balls.

Ingredients

  • 10-12 Tortellonis
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 10 to 12 strips of thin cut bacon
  • SPG seasoning
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • Hot sauce
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Italian herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano, sage)
  • Parmigiano cheese
  • Grated mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Season the ground beef with SPG
  2. Form meatballs around the pasta
  3. Wrap the meatballs with a strip of bacon each
  4. Prepare the grill for indirect heat at approximately 300°F
  5. Smoke the meatballs indirect for about 20-25 minutes
  6. Cut up the Italian herbs & add to the diced tomatoesAdd parmigiano cheese, hot sauce and red pepper flakes to taste
  7. Place meatballs in a cast iron pan together with the tomato sauce
  8. Heat up for another 10 minutes, sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese
  9. Enjoy!
