BEEF JERKY
Perhaps the #1 working man's snack in the world, smoke dried beef is real easy to do on the grill or smoker. This is not your typical convenience store jerky.THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED: FOR MARINADE
- Onion Powder – 1 Tbs
- Garlic Powder – 1 Tbs
- Red Pepper Flakes – 1 Tbs Optional
- Fresh Ground Black Peppercorn – 1 Tbs
- Soy Sauce – 1 ½ cups
- Worchester sauce – 1 ½ cups
FOR THE JERKY
- Bottom Round Roast – 5 lbs or Steak – 5 lbs about 1 ½ to 2 inches thick
- Sharp Knife
- Bowl
- Paper Towels
GETTING READY
1. Place your roast and/or steak into the freezer – This helps firm up the meat and make it easier to slice – About 10 minutes is all you need, which gives you time to make the marinadeTHE MARINADE
- 2. Into a bowl mix the following;
- Soy Sauce – 1 ½ cups
- Worchester Sauce – 1 ½ cups
- Onion Powder – 1 Tbs
- Garlic Powder – 1 Tbs
- Ground Peppercorn – 1 Tbs
- Red Pepper Flakes – 1 Tbs Optional
