Classic Grilled Beef Stew
CLASSIC GRILLED BEEF STEW
This delicious classic Beef Stew, brim full of tender beef, beef bones, potatoes, onions, celery, and carrots, will surely cure what's ailing you. Watch the BBQ Pit Boys show you how easy it is to do using a barbecue grill and a few Pit Master tips and techniques.THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:
- Beef Roast – 4 1/2 lbs.
- SPG Seasoning – Recipe found here
- Beef Bones – 3 lbs.
- Onion – 1 large chopped
- Garlic – 4 cloves crushed
- Carrots – 4 sliced
- Celery – 3 stalks chopped.
- Lemon – 2 Tbsp. Juice
- Pearl Onions - 24
- Potatoes – small 4lbs cut into 1 to 1 ½ inch cubes
- Worcestershire Sauce – 2 Tbsp.
- Olive Oil
- Flour – 2 Tbsp.
- Water – 2 quarts
- Pot with a lid
DIRECTIONS GETTING READY
1. Set up your grill for indirect grilling. Place hot coals on 1 side of the grill and no coals on the other side of the grill. 2. Cut your roast into 1 ½ thick steaksCOOKING
3. Place the pot on the grill directly over the hot coals 4. Coat the bottom of the pot with oil 5. Add the chopped Onion and crushed Garlic to the pot to sauté 6. Coat the beef bones with Olive Oil 7. Season the steaks you cut with the SPG seasoning 8. Remove the pot from the grill when onions are saluted 9. Place the steaks on the grill directly over the hot coals to sear 10. Sear each side of the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes 11. After the steaks are seared remove the steaks from the grill and place on a cutting board to rest 12. Place the Beef Bones on the grill directly over the hot coals. Sear them on each side for 2 minutes 13. Cut the steak into 1 to 1 ½ inch cubes 14. Add the beef bones to the pot with the onions and garlic 15. Place the pot back on the grill 16. To the pot add:- 2 quarts of water
- The cubed steak
- 2 Tbsp. of SPG Seasoning
- 4 chopped carrots
- 3 stalks of chopped celery
- 4 lbs. of cubed potatoes
- 24 Pearl Onions
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
