Grilled Steak and Onions\n\nGRILLED STEAK AND ONIONS\nSteaks and buttered Sweet Onions from the grill is a classic Beef Steak combo and for good reason, as demonstrated by the BBQ Pit Boys.\nTHE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:\n\n\tNY Strips – 2 (12-16 oz. each)\n\tOnions – 2-3\n\tSalt – to taste\n\tPepper – to taste\n\tGranulated Garlic – ½ teaspoon\n\tBrown Sugar – 2 Tablespoons\n\tButter – 1 stick\n\nDIRECTIONS:\n1. Bring grill temperature up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. You want a hot grill.\nGETTING READY\nPREPARE ONIONS:\n1. Slice 2-3 onions into thin rings. Separate rings.\n2. Place in an iron skillet.\n3. Put skillet directly over hot coals.\n4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of butter to skillet.\n5. Add in granulated garlic.\n6. Cook until translucent, but still firm.\n7. Add brown sugar and stir well.\n8. Remove opposite coals to keep warm.\nMAKING\n9. Remove excess fat on steaks.\n10. Salt and pepper both sides and place directly over hot coals.\n11. Sear steaks for 1-2 minutes.\n12. Turn steaks and sear other side for 1-2 minutes.\n13. Place seared steaks on top of onions in iron skillet.\n14. Move iron skillet back over hot coals, cover grill and cook steaks to desired doneness.\nFINALIZING\n15. Remove skillet from grill.\n16. Place steaks on plates.\n17. Cover each steak with caramelized onions.\nSERVING\n18. Serve with bread, corn on the cob, or baked potato with all the fixings.\n19. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!!
