JALAPEÑO BACON CHUCK BURGER

JALEPENO BACON CHUCK BURGERS

Fresh ground Beef Chuck Burgers cooked up on the grill is about as good as good eatin' gets.

THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:

  • Beef Chuck Roast – 5 lbs. coarse ground. Or fresh Coarse Ground Chuck from your local butcher or grocer
  • Bacon – 1 lb. smoked we show how to do it here
  • Jalapeno Peppers – 8 oz. seeded and diced – about 4 or 5 peppers
  • Onion – ¾ cup chopped
  • SPG Seasoning – 2 Tbsp. recipe can be found here
  • Worcestershire Sauce – 2 Tbsp.
  • Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
  • Hamburger Buns
  • Your Favorite Condiments

DIRECTIONS GETTING READY

1. Put your chuck roast in the freezer to firm up so that it will grind easier 2. Cube the roast into 1 inch cubes and grind it to a coarse grind 3. Set up your grill for indirect heat (hot coals on one side of the grill and no coals on the other side of the grill)

MAKING

4. In a bowl mix the following; Ground Chuck Roast 8 oz. Diced Jalapeno Peppers ¾ cup chopped onion 1 Tbsp. of SPG Seasoning 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper ¼ cup small diced Pepper Jack or Chipotle cheese 5. Form the mixture in to ½ lb. patties about ¾ inch thick 6. Place the burgers directly over the hot coals to sear 7. Sear each side of the burger for 2 minutes. 8. After each side has seared move the burgers to the side of the grill with no coals to finish cooking. Cover grill with the lid 9. Cook burgers to your desired doneness 10. Add Pepper Jack cheese to the top of the burgers and let melt

FINALIZING

11. Place burger on a bun and top with smoked bacon 12. Add your favorite condiments

SERVING
