Reaper Ghost Cheese Burger
Don’t fear the Reaper. Light it up with this classic hot chili pepper cheese burger by the BBQ Pit Boys. It comes with the South Carolina Reaper, known as the hottest pepper on the planet and the Ghost. These burgers are packed with flavor and topped with a Jack Cheese Sauce. Your family and friends will luv ’em.
For this Reaper Ghost Cheese Burger recipe use the following ingredients:
4 fresh ghost peppers,
2 fresh Carolina Reapers.
Remove the seeds, the heat is in the membrane so no loss of heat by taking them out .
Chop em up real fine with the ghost peppers
8 or 10 stalks of green onion, chop em up real good.
3 cloves of garlic, chop them up real fine,
About a pound of cooked bacon,not fully cooked all the way through,
We want to get some of that fat, because we’re using is ground sirloin.
It’s about 90% lean to 10% fat, so we need to introduce some fat into this burger.
A few teaspoons of SPG (Salt pepper garlic)
4 tablespoons of brown sugar,
Mix it all together and stick it in the fridge for about an hour.
Make some cheese sauce.
Use your favorite cheese sauce recipe, it’s just cheese, butter and flour.
Use your favorite cheese. We used a pound and a half of shredded Jack cheese.( 680 grams if you’re still using metric)
Place the burgers on the grill using indirect heat and cook until done, internal temp of 160F/ 71C
