Steak & Onion Grilled Cheese

For this Steak & Onion Grilled Cheese recipe you need the following ingredients:

• Spicy Hot Sauce
• Onion
• Sliced Bread
• Butter
• Tomatoes
• Garlic Chili Paste
• Shredded Cheese
• Tender Steak Thin Slices*
*We used rib strips which are cut from about the rib bone on beef short ribs, you can ask your butcher for this nicely marbled tender cut.


1. Cut the onion and tomatoes into thin slices.

High heat
1. Throw the steak slices on high heat. Do not overcook the steaks, Just medium rare or medium at most because there will be more heat from the next step. Because the speed and thickness its not essential to season, if you do, be careful not to over season. Keep aside.
Use a flat iron griddle on a medium heat
2. Toast the bread slices with buttered on the outside use large heavy pan if you don’t have a cast iron griddle. Spread some hot sauce on, throw some shredded cheese, sliced onions, 3 steak strips per sandwich, more shredded cheese and some more tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper and some garlic chili paste. Now cover the top with a buttered slice of bread and flip to toast this side.
