The BBQ Pit Boys cook up a batch of Bacon Bourbon Jam for their grilled Beef Burgers at the Pit. This recipe is easy to do with the simple tips as shown here in this video.
For this Bacon Bourbon Burger Jam you need the following ingredients
1 lb. bacon
2 onions, 1 lb fine diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
1/2 c. Bourbon

Method
Fine chop and sauté bacon until brown but not crisp. Remove from Pan, drain most of the baon fat.
Add diced onions and garlic with teaspoon each of BBQ Pit Boys SPG and Rub until they are softened.
Add bacon back to pan of sautéed onion and garlic, and then all remaining ingredients of Brown Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Bourbon. Cook on high until mixture is boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer until mixture is thickened, about 45 minutes to an hour.
Leave the mixture chunky or use an immersion blender or food processor to reach desired consistency.
Serve on a burger, or as a side relish.
