Steak and Bean Chili Recipe and ingredients
2 lbs Sirloin Ground Beef
1 lb Bacon
2 lbs Steak
Cumin
Cayenne pepper
SPG
Smoked Paprika
Chili powder
Minced Garlic
Cheese
Black Beans
Bell Peppers
Canned Tomatoes, diced and whole
Onion
Scallion
Worcestershire sauce
Cornmeal
Sear the steaks on both sides and dice the Onion and bell peppers, then cut the steaks up into bite size pieces, slice the bacon up. add the bacon to the pan and fry in up a bit, then add the chopped onions then add about 2 tablespoons of minced garlic. add the ground beef and cook it down. add the chopped bell peppers and cook some more. Add a splash of beer, cook for a few more minutes. Add the chopped up steak, add a can of whole tomatoes and cook for a few more minutes, then drain off any excess water from the whole tomatoes and add the diced tomatoes, cumin, cayenne pepper and SPG (or salt and pepper) with the smoked paprika and chili powder. Add a couple of tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce then add the black beans and slow simmer for 2-3 hours until the meat is tender and add some cornmeal to thicken some at the end. Serve with grated cheese, chopped scallion, corn chips, sour cream and jalapenos.
